Jenny joined PCEVS at the end of 2023 as a veterinary and office assistant. We first met Jenny when she was still in high school and she and her mom started bringing their (ie Jenny’s) two horses, Molly and Chance into see us. Jenny is an Oregon native and grew up in Canby. She fell in love with horses after a summer camp when she was 10 years old. With the support of her family she leapt down the horse-owning rabbit hole. On their small farm she has been able to have her horses at home so she understands all of the joy and work that requires! Her favorite types of horse activities include ranch riding, drill team, showmanship, and gaming. Jenny appreciates the incredible reflection you can see in a horse’s eye like a window to a connection between humans and horses. Outside of equines, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and hiking with her dog. At home she shares space with Kiwi the cat, Copper a rottwiler mix, and Norman the leopard gecko. In addition to her work with us, she is also a graduate student and is in the midst of completing a masters in Anthrozoology.
